In this article we take a moment to explore the topic of love. From the love for oneself to love relationships to unconditional love.
Let us clear any misunderstandings out of the way immediately. How often have we heard
the sentence: do you know how much I love you? If anything has become clear in my
exploration of this topic, it’s the fact that love is not a quantifiable number. Love has not
much to do with precious gifts on Valentines’ day, and much more to do with care,
acceptance, respect, trust, intimacy, communication, commitment, every day, in every
action.
It’s not about how MUCH we love, but rather about how CAREFULLY we love.
How do I learn to be careful in love?
How do I know if I love myself?
A good barometer of the degree of your self-love is the level of integrity and unity you feel within yourself.
If that is not an easy task, you can begin with a few easy questions to start unpacking this issue.
How do you start your day? What are your first thoughts and actions? Are you making time for activities that nourish your physical, emotional and mental well-being?
Your first sentence when you open your eyes in the morning should be something like: good morning my love, how are you today? The way you welcome yourself upon waking up says a lot about self-love. Self-love goes far beyond your morning greetings and your morning routine; yet, starting there is a good way to pay attention to your inner child who needs care, attention and nourishment, every day, no matter how old you are.
Why should I care about love?
Cultivating love, for oneself and others, is at the core of SPARK’s philosophy. Numerous studies show how love is significant for several profound reasons that impact your well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.
In our opinion, love is the strongest force on earth. It has the power to go beyond death.
We continue to love the people who have passed; it doesn’t end with their passing. Love can take us beyond conflicts and violence, it can give us the experience of merging into one, with another person and with nature.
Caring about love isn’t just about romantic relationships. It encompasses self-love, love for friends and family, love for humanity, and even love for the world around you. By embracing love in all its forms, you enhance your emotional well-being, create positive relationships, and contribute to a more harmonious and compassionate world.
How can I learn to love myself and others more?
Start with the basic: self-love. How do you start your day? What are your first thoughts and actions? Are you making time for activities that nourish your physical, emotional and mental well-being?
Take a moment for yourself and write down your thoughts. Then identify 3 concrete and simple actions you can start implement to nourish your self-love.
To go deeper into the topic, you may join our seminars on ‘love, relationships and sexuality’. We will focus on liberating our own unique way to love, ourselves and others.
These seminars are both for people in a relationship and the ones who are not. Learning to love more and better does not require someone else. One key lesson on love is never to delegate love to someone or something else.
Learn to practice Reiki with us. Reiki is love in flow. Reiki Level 1 looks at the love for oneself and for our inner child. To summarise the essence of this seminar, we can say: learn how to love yourself every day a little more, every day a little better. What better way to start loving oneself than learning how to treat your body with Reiki to enhance your energy level, release energetic blockages and support your overall well-being?
