About Spark
At SPARK we apply strict confidentiality rules, whether you work in individual or in group settings.
Our policy is simple: everything that happens in a constellation is confidential. This includes who was there, what they worked on, the facts they shared and the resolutive work which took place.
Participants and representatives are informed before the start of the work about our confidentiality policy. The work starts after everyone has agreed to it.
LGBTQIA+ people are welcome. We strive to offer a safe, protected space, free of judgement.
It is our mission to work towards a world where together, we can shine in our own uniqueness. To ensure we stay up-to-date with the latest inclusiveness policies, we work with experts in LGBTQIA+ policies to ensure our offers and the space at SPARK is as inclusive as possible.
We are learning and training as we go, open to receive feedback if something might not have been as inclusive as it could be. In this case, please do let us know so we can continue to improve.
Our services at SPARK are not covered by health insurance.
We do offer financial support for people who struggle to cover the costs of our services.
Please do get in touch for further information on this.

FAMILY CONSTELLATIONS
Family constellations are a method to investigate the unconscious. They bring to light and transform hidden entanglements which may influence your way to relate to yourself, as well as to your personal and work environment.
Family constellations are experiential, we could write down many laws and concepts which aim to explain constellations. Yet, in our many years of experience, we have come to the conclusion that words don’t come near the experience of a family constellation. To begin to understand it, it needs the direct experience.

Family constellations take you on a personal, and trans-generational, journey into the past. Their purpose is not to hold you back into a past which has been, but rather to efficiently zoom back into specific episodes of your own story, and often that of your ancestors, in order to bring to light invisible entanglements holding you back from being fully present and focused on what is here now.
What you witness in a constellation is often forgotten or unknown to you. The hidden connections and memories you carry from your own past, or that of your ancestors. By bringing these up to light and witnessing it happening in front of your eyes, you become aware of them. This alone helps to de-structure internal blockages and bring new insights concerning yourself and your environment.
There are several ways to lead a constellation. Here you find the method we use at SPARK. We can give you a lot of information about this, yet in our experience, only once you have done the experience, can you start to grasp how it works.
A constellation may be done in a group or individual setting.
In both cases, the consultation begins with a private preliminary interview during which the facilitator with the client identifies the issue to be addressed. If the focus is your family of origin, current family or relationships, the facilitator takes note of the name and date of birth of family members and relevant ancestors, inquiring about any relevant events in their life in order to reconstruct the basic family structure. When focusing on work and project concerns, the notes will focus on relevant events, dates and names related to this specific issue.
The representatives are then called in and asked to take the place of the various elements of the system being investigated. A spontaneous dynamic movement follows, in which the representatives will take different places in the room. With the messages they provide, a wealth of hidden information comes to light. Through process work, the blockages and challenges identified are released. The facilitator provides a series of sentences which further support this resolution process.
What topics may I address through a family constellation?
Family constellations support the investigation of topics related to:
Personal situations:
- Chronic tiredness, heaviness, feeling unmotivated or drained;
- States of excessive anxiety and concern;
- Iper-responsibility or dependency;
- Resentment, anger, sadness regarding people or situations in our past;
- Conflictual relationships with parents, brothers and sisters;
Love relationships:
- Struggling to overcome a loss or a separation;
- Feeling invaded in your private space (body, mind or external living space);
- Living in continuous conflicts and misunderstandings with your partner and/or children;
- Sensation of repeating family patterns in the choice of partners or ways in which we live our relationships;
- Feeling alone or dissatisfied with your love life;
- Investigating a topic of conflict with your partner (for e.g. parenthood, wedding, divorce, sexuality, relationship needs).
Work:
- Investigating economical or professional issues;
- Feeling unfairly treated by colleagues and superiors;
- Struggling with your personal self-realisation;
- Struggling to earn enough;
- Managing a project which shows some challenges and needs clarification;
- Feeling unmotivated and in need of new directions.
This list is not exhaustive. Please get in touch directly to assess your specific topic.
At SPARK we offer both options. You can choose to work in an individual setting or in a group setting.
The individual setting consists of the facilitator, the client and 2 representatives. It lasts 90min. The private setting offers you a very intimate space to investigate your topics. It also supports the detailed investigation of an issue. This specific format, as proposed at SPARK (with 2 representatives present), is rarely offered elsewhere.
The group setting takes place over a weekend. In this setting you not only have space to do your own constellation, but you also have the opportunity to represent in the constellation of other participants. This is the best way to comprehend how a constellation works. The group setting also offers a chance to connect with other participants in a very deep and meaningful way.
Yes, a constellation is done by one member of the family. Not by the entire family. The effect though will resonate in the entire family system.
To prepare for the family constellation, SPARK shares with you a questionnaire on your family of origin. You will take with you this information on the day of the constellation to support the work.
Yes we do. We work with classical ‘couple’ situations (i.e. 2 elements in the relationships) and also with open relationships where more than two elements are part of the relationship.
Partners constellations can be used to investigate the dynamics between partners. This includes for example the wish to have children, the relationship with children, dynamics with ex partners, and to identify current needs of the love relationship. Finally we use this format also in cases where the couple runs a project together.
Based on our experience we have developed the following sequence for couple constellations:
First, each element of the love relationship does a constellation with SPARK, on their own. This helps to address the personal issues the person brings with them in the love relationship.
Only after this, we do a constellation where all elements of the love relationship are present at the same time. Since they each have worked previously on their own personal topics, we can now efficiently explore the dynamic within the love relationship to determine what is needed and how it can be supported.
At SPARK we strive to offer a safe, protected space, free of judgement. Everything you share during a constellation is strictly confidential.
In our experience, it is incredibly powerful and supportive to find the courage to share our shadows, fears and emotions with others. It helps to realise we are all in a boat together, looking to navigate life, each with our own wounds and stories to deal with. This creates a very strong bond between group participants, which often results in long-term friendships outside of SPARK premises.
You also have the possibility to work in a private setting where you’ll be alone with the facilitator and 2 representatives who are working under strict confidentiality rules. The 2 representatives are trained and experienced people who have been working with SPARK for a long time.

SPARK ACADEMY TRAINING
To sign up for the family constellations training at SPARK we require students to have done at least 1 group seminar with SPARK. If you then decide to sign up for the training, the hours and cost of the first seminar will be counted towards your overall number of training hours.
You can start any time throughout the year. The counting of your hours starts with the attendance of your first weekend seminar.
Our modules are flexible. You are free to sign up for the entire training at once, or to sign up for 100hrs at a time to take it step-by-step.
Our academy working groups are generally between 10 and 15 people.
We aim to keep the size of the group to a number which allows us to provide the best possible training to everyone.
Sure. This training offers you a regular opportunity to work on yourself. In our experience most people who have done the training start of like this. At the end of the training you can decide whether to go for the facilitation process or not.
Yes we do have financial support available for people who struggle to cover the fees for the training. Please do get in touch to receive further information on this.
